BioRad QX200

BioRad QX200

This system enables accurate quantification of rare targets through droplet digital PCR. The droplet generator takes 8 PCR reactions and encapsulates them into up to 20,000 droplets each. These droplet samples are then transfered to 96-well plates and the fluorecense for each droplet is detected on the droplet reader. The reader can detect samples labeled by EvaGreen or Taq-Man style probes FAM or HEX/VIC.

BioRad CFX96 and 384 Touch

These systems are used for real-time quantitative PCR in 96- or 384-well plates (such as VWR #83009-672, 82006-664, or 89218-288). Features include rapid cycling, a gradient capability for protocol optimization, and a linear dynamic range of ten orders of magnitude. The system uses the following excitation/detection wavelengths:

  • 450-490nm/510-530nm (FAM, SYBR)
  • 515-535nm/560-580nm (HEX)
  • 560-590nm/610-650nm (Texas Red)
  • 620-650nm/675-690nm (Cy5)
  • 672-684nm/705-730nm (Quasar 705) CFX 96 Touch only

ABI7900HT

Applied Biosystems 7900HT

This system is used for real-time quantitative PCR in 96-well plates (such as VWR #89218-296), 384-well plates (such as VWR #89218-288), or TaqMan Low Density Array cards. Features include a fast cycling mode and a linear dynamic range of nine orders of magnitude. The system is capable of detecting the following probes: SYBRGreen I, FAM, VIC, JOE, NED, ROX, TAMRA, and TET.

C1000

BioRad C1000 and S1000 Thermal Cyclers

These thermal cyclers perform rapid PCR cycling in 96 or 384 well plates (of any standard configuration). The C1000 (96) can be used to program and control the S1000 units.

Fluidigm Biomark HD System

Using Fluidigm's proprietary microfluidic-based Integrated Fluidics Circuits (IFC) chips, the Biomark HD System automates PCR reactions in nanoliter volumes, thereby reducing the amounts of sample and reagent required. The system has reliable production-scale throughput and single-cell sensitivity, and can be coupled with the Fluidigm C1 Single-Cel Auto-Prep System to streamline gene expression analysis of single cells. The Biomark is compatible with a wide variety of sample types and either Taqman or EvaGreen chemistry.
