#1 | Q: What is SPINAL? A: The SPINAL is a calendar system is used for instrument reservations and for charging usage fees. The core staff also uses SPINAL to post announcements about instrument status. Each instrument has its own rules about how far in advance you can make a reservation, the maximum sign-up time allowed, and how much notice you must give prior to cancelling. |
#2 | Q: What is minilims? A: Minilims is our billing system and is used to make service request submissions: Illumina sequencing sample submissions, training requests, and reagent purchases. It uses a separate log in system from SPINAL. |
#3 | Q: I have been trained on an instrument but can't log in. Who should I contact? A: Please email the Bauer Core Team, and someone will help to give you access. |
#4 | Q: I forgot my RC account username or password. What should I do? A: Use RC's password reset tool or contact Research Computing. |
#5 | Q: I forgot my minilims account username or password. What should I do? A: Use the reset password link on the login page. |
#6 | Q: I'm having trouble with SPINAL or minilims. Who should I contact? A: Contact Research Computing for SPINAL related questions for minilims please contact Claire Hartmann or Nicole Ramirez. |
